Goodyear’s Bob Keegan to discuss leadership qualities at benefit breakfast in April

Robert J. Keegan, Chairman and CEO of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, will speak at the Heart to Heart Communications Annual Breakfast April 26, 2010. Keegan, who has guided Goodyear through a historic turnaround and also has been recognized for his generous support of programs for children with autism, will discuss leadership qualities that help people make the right decisions whether the challenges they face are in the Board Room or with community activities.

"I am struck by Bob’s strong dedication to ethical principles which connects so completely with Heart to Heart’s values-based leadership ideology. Seating at the event is limited. Sponsorships and table reservations will be honored in the order in which they are received," said the non-profit’s Executive Director, Fr. Norm Douglas.

This is the 17th Annual Greater Akron Speaks out for Values fundraising breakfast since the inception of Heart to Heart Communications. The breakfast has featured such area leaders at Alan Bleyer, Bernett Williams, Tom Strauss and many others.

Don't miss out on your chance to win a blimp ride for two either! The winner will be drawn the day of the event.

In 1986, Fr. Norm and attorney Larry Vuillemin established an area-wide Work-centered Reflection Group. In 1988, reflection groups for specific vocations were formed for lawyers, counselors and educators. This became the beginning of Heart to Heart Communications, a spiritually-centered not-for-profit organization which serves as a community catalyst for personal and spiritual development as a foundation for enriching workplaces. Today this organization has created a variety of programs, many of which have a special focus upon developing the inner life of leaders. Heart to Heart offers leadership development series, work-related programs, community-wide events, vocational reflection groups, work transition assistance and faith community experiences.
